History of John Coote Carpets

John Coote Carpets has been operating in Eastwood since the mid 60's and is owned and operated by the Karim family. Store manager Rosalie Karim grew up in Eastwood and still lives in the northern suburbs. "Whilst many of our customers come from Eastwood and the surrounding district, "word of mouth" recommendations mean that our business area now stretches from Newcastle to Canberra!"

Specialist

John Coote Carpets has always been a wool carpet specialist and still devotes much of its display area to quality New Zealand wool products. "We cater for those at entry level looking for a quality, yet budget priced line through to the customer who is searching for the best wool products available in the market today", says Rosalie. However, the high quality of synthetic carpets now on the market has meant that the store has expanded over the last few years to include many local and imported synthetic lines. Other popular floor coverings such as sheet vinyl, vinyl tiles, floating timber floors and laminates are also on display.

Staff

The Karim family strongly believes the key to its business success lies in its staff. From sales personnel, to measurers, to layers - all staff have many years experience in the carpet industry and can be relied upon for honest advice and caring, personal service. Most business is from personal recommendations of satisfied customers and staff are always striving to ensure that customers are happy with every step of the sales and service cycle - that is, from the sales experience in the store, to the measure and quote in the home, to the final laying job.
